Summer Holiday Club
Here is everything you need to know about our Holiday Clubs
Our holiday clubs run on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during Wirral school holidays.
Sessions are aimed at children aged 4-11 years.
Children are dropped off and left with the team from 8:50, ensuring we have a prompt start at 9:00.
We ask that parents/carers are at the woods promptly for collection at 15:00
Our summer holiday club starts on Wednesday 25th July 2018 and will end on Wednesday 22nd August 2018. The reason we are cutting it short is because Claire gets married on Friday 24th August 2018. Next year we promise we’ll be open for the full 6+ weeks!
The fees are £36 per day (9am – 3pm)
Unfortunately we cannot accept childcare vouchers towards this.
Fees are paid for the month ahead via bank transfer.
We ask that you use your childs name as a reference when paying via the bank and notify Claire via email when you have made a payment.
We apply a 5% sibling discount after a full paying first child. We may ask for proof that children are siblings.
A 10% discount is applied when 3 or more sessions are confirmed in one booking.
A 15% discount is applied when 6 or more sessions are confirmed in one booking.
Bookings are made in two stages explained below:
1 – Get in touch with Claire on email@example.com or 07539347811 to confirm availability.
2 – Once your places have been confirmed, we will ask you to complete the following booking.
Places are limited, so please do not delay in booking.
Bookings are non refundable.
Sessions will only be cancelled in the event of severe winds or an electrical storm. In the event of this, you will be given the option of an alternative date or a full refund.
There will be a number of activities and experiences for children throughout the holiday club. A selection of resources and games will be brought to each session for children to use, allowing them to continuously building on their experiences, knowledge and ideas.
Tools will be brought to all sessions and will be used during the day on a 1:1 basis or in a small group (where appropriate). All children will have the opportunity to use tools, however they must demonstrate their responsibility and understanding first. The groups safety is our main priority.
There will be a fire or an element of fire safety at every session. Children receive multiple therapeutic benefits of being around the fire, not to mention the benefits to a child’s self esteem when they have contributed to the successful making of a fire. Children must demonstrate their understanding of fire safety prior to the fire being lit. The groups safety is paramount and the forest school leader will asses the risk / benefit of having a fire during each session.

Here’s everything you need to know about our site!
Forest school is all about embracing the natural environment, so expect muddy knees and scuffed shoes! Wearing old clothes is advised. Always check the weather forecast and dress appropriately – waterproofs are always a good idea.
There is no need for a ‘wild wee’ whilst at forest school! We have a Porta Potti toilet in a toilet tent in a quiet part of the site. We also have a potty and changing tent on request.
There is always some water and fruit provided for children to help themselves to. During birthday parties and Stay & Play sessions, there is always a selection of hot and cold drinks available, for both children and adults.
Please don’t be late, there is lots of activities, games and fun that we try to squash in to our sessions – you won’t want to miss out!
